18.07.06 Event Successes for Talisman Energy
A spectacular Dinner was held at Fyvie Castle in honour of the European Commissioner for Energy's visit to the region. This was followed up with a marquee event at Nigg Yard where the Commissioner viewed the giant wind turbines which were floated out recently.

A ’Calgary Stampede‘ event was held at Lochter in July for staff - a host of activities were on offer together with a superb barbecue. Entertainment came in various forms, including a group of gunslingers and a terrific country and western band. The evening concluded with a spectacular firework display.

There are large scale events coming in the next few months for Shell, Total and Chevron.

07.07.06  Vetco- A Global Campaign
Mearns & Gill have been commissioned to direct and film the 'Talking head' video by Peter Goode, new CEO of Vetco, for global release.
New adverts developed to build upon and promote the core values of Vetco - experience, integrity, opportunity being placed globally for Australia, Brazil, Norway and USA.

14.06.06  Exhibition Team wins Acergy Contract
ONS 2006 later in the year sees M&G's Exhibition Team in Norway masterminding Acergy's presence at this significant bi-annual exhibition. This will be the first exhibition for Acergy since the name change from Stolt Offshore earlier this year. We look forward to helping them to promote their new name at this global platform.

From Calgary to Mumbai, Mearns & Gill's recruitment clients have been very active in the first half of 2006! Being based in Aberdeen is no barrier to M&G's global activities.

21.05.06 HMT Brochure Launch
Hot off the press is a brochure to promote an exciting programme of events to celebrate the centenary of His Majesty's Theatre. As well as a packed season ahead including Grease, Scottish Ballet, the hit musical Scrooge and the world's best loved musical Cats, the centenary will be celebrated in other ways including an exhibition/open day, an artist in residence and a twinning ceremony with the Theatre in Perth, W.A.
We have also developed a new design concept for marketing the 'Friends' of HMT which is about to be launched.

19.03.06 The Mearns & Gill 'Grafter Rafters' return victorious!
M&G raises £1,217 for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland.

There were two heats taking place on the River Tay at Grandtully; one of eight and one of seven. The M&G team being last into the water, were determined to succeed.

Alan Mearns, Managing Director said " It just shows you when you have a great team all pulling together what you can achieve" he went onto say "We knew we had won our heat but it was only at the presentation ceremony that we had learned that the M&G team had won overall. We're all delighted with our winning medals and the super trophy"

"Most Importantly we were delighted to raise this sum for such a worthy cause".
